VLC media player is an open source, free software media player and multimedia framework written by the VideoLAN project. I have released the GTK patch and wxWidget based on MediaGateForCC to add support for UPnP/AV media server from 2004. The patches was merged into the trunk tree of VLC from 2005 🙂
